Hi, I'm Karissa and I'm so glad you're here! I'm a registered nurse and mom of two daughters. I developed my business when I found very few safe options to get my daughter's ears pierced and decided to fix the problem myself. I knew that there had to be a better way to get kid's ears pierced and reflected on the problems most moms encounter. Do I really want to drag my child to the busy mall? Will an inexperienced teenager be doing the piercing? Is the jewelry safe for kids? After some careful planning, The Nurse Piercer was born!

Let's face it, traditional body piercers in tattoo shops aren't the most kid friendly environment. In my studio you'll find a comfy and cozy space for your child to feel right at home. Or better yet you can have me come directly to your home for a personalized, stress free experience! Have a child on the autism spectrum or special needs? No need to stress, I've worked with children of all different backgrounds and needs.
Experience
I have been practicing as an RN in Boston since 2016 after obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University. I became certified in Critical Care Nursing in 2021 by the AACN and became certified in piercing in 2022. Apart from being a busy mom and business owner, I still work in a Medical Intensive Care Unit. I utilize my nursing background to provide a safe, sterile, and professional piercing experience for all.
